Ich habe Nachricht von der Vegan Society bekommen, dass die vormals an dieser Stelle zum Download bereit gestellten 'vegan-Logos' mit dem Markenrecht der Vegan Society in Konflikt stehen und dass rechtliche Schritte gegen mich eingeleitet würden, falls ich die Inhalte nicht beseitige. Dies ist hiermit geschehen. Für die von Firmen oder andere gewerbliche oder kommerzielle Zwecke genutzten Logos, die von dieser Seite entnommen worden sind, empfehle ich das Entfernen dieser Grafiken von und an entsprechenden Produkten, Verpackungen, etc.: Die Verwendung des 'The Vegan logos' muss durch die Vegan Society authorisiert werden: 'The Vegan Logo'.

I've got information from the vegan society, that the redrawn 'vegan-logos' which had been available on this site, were infringement of a trademark. Therefore I removed the logos from this site. I advise to remove my redrawn 'vegan logos'-versions from products, packages and other commercial cases. The usage of the 'The Vegan logo' has to be authorised by the Vegan Society: 'The Vegan Logo'.

Dear Dirk Gießelmann,
Your page: http://www.soylent-network.com/material/03_diverselogos.htm has been reported to us. Your 'digitally redrawn' logos are trademark infringement and we must regretfully charge you with trademark damages unless you remove all artwork which resembles our registered logo by Thursday 03rd March 2011. We will refer this case to our solicitors on Friday 04th March 2011 and due to the costs associated with initiating legal proceedings, we will not terminate the case once our solicitors have opened the case. We always seek to award solicitor fees to the guilty party.
You should receive communication from our legal team before the end of next week, notifying you of your litigation, compensation sought from you, and our evidence.
Please note that your digitally redrawn logos are still infringement as the law considers infringement to include "a "likelihood of confusion" between his or her trademark and the allegedly infringing mark.". You are responsible for all companies currently using our trademark logo from your website – we already know of two companies. Our contact details are below.

Dear (NAME WAS MADE ANONYMOUS),
thank you for your notification.
As a non-profit animal rights activist and documentarian, I published
the redrawn versions of the 'vegan'-logos for purpose to spread the
vegan idea on demonstrations and vegan based gatherings and
celebrations, to bring them on selfmade banners or signs by creative
people and non-profit activists. An use by companies was never intended.
I immediately removed the content from

and hope, that no further legal proceedings will be lead in, because, as
above mentioned, I'm a non-profit animal rights activist with primary
interests of broadcasting the ethical necessity of a vegan lifestyle and
animal rights.

Dear Dirk Gießelmann,
Thank you for showing compliance with trademark law. As legal proceedings have not been started yet, we will avoid legal action with yourself.
As the longest established Vegan Society (1944), we do seek to help and cooperate with groups that spread veganism, and any non-profit group is welcome to email my colleague George Gill (georgeg@vegansociety.com) for permission to use a version of our logo. However, any group wishing to use any of our logos must apply directly to us for use of it - they must not reproduce it for other groups to use. We do this so that we can first check that the group who wants to use our logo has a similar philosophy to ours. Feel free to publish this email on your website too as it may be useful information to other groups around the world.
